Iroko House
A West African kitchen in Houston

Jollof, done the way it should taste.

Smoky suya, slow-simmered egusi, and rice that argues its own case. Iroko House cooks the dishes of Nigeria, Ghana, and Senegal the way they're cooked at home — unhurried, generous, and shared.

Our story

Named for a tree that outlasts everything around it

The iroko tree grows across West Africa and is said to hold the memory of everyone who's ever sat beneath it. Our kitchen works the same way — recipes carried from grandmothers in Lagos, Accra, and Dakar, cooked the long way and served without shortcuts.

We opened in Houston to feed a city that already knows good food when it tastes it. Every stew starts before sunrise. Every spice blend is ground in-house. Nothing on the table is rushed.
